Description Our client, a reputable accounting firm, is seeking a skilled Tax Preparer for a temp-to-hire opportunity! This role offers the potential to become a permanent member of their team and is ideal for professionals who possess their Enrolled Agent (EA) certification, or are actively working toward it. Responsibilities: + Prepare individual, partnership, and corporate federal and state tax returns according to client documentation and relevant regulations. + Review financial records, statements, and supporting documents to ensure accuracy and compliance. + Consult with clients regarding tax-related matters and provide guidance to minimize liabilities. + Research and interpret tax laws and updates to ensure up-to-date compliance. + Maintain confidential client records and adhere to firm and regulatory standards. + Collaborate with other staff members on complex tax issues as needed. Requirements + 2+ years experience in tax preparation for public accounting or tax firm. + Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations. + EA certification preferred. Candidates actively working toward EA are encouraged to apply. + Proficient in tax preparation software (e.g., ProSeries, UltraTax, etc.) and Microsoft Office. + Excellent organizational, communication, and client service skills. + Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
