Role Summary

The Director of Nursing (DON) oversees clinical operations, ensures compliance with state and federal regulations, and leads nursing staff to deliver high‑quality resident care. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a commitment to patient safety and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and direct nursing services in alignment with facility policies
• Supervise nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs, ensuring performance standards are met
• Develop and implement care plans tailored to resident needs
• Monitor clinical outcomes and initiate quality improvement measures
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (CMS, state board of nursing, facility standards)
• Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and families to coordinate care
• Manage staffing schedules, assignments, and coverage for all shifts
• Conduct training, orientation, and ongoing education for nursing staff
• Oversee infection control, medication administration, and documentation practices
• Prepare reports for administration and participate in audits/surveys

Qualifications

• Current RN license in West Virginia
• Minimum 3–5 years of progressive nursing leadership experience
• Strong knowledge of long‑term care regulations and best practices
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills

Weekly Pay Package
