Are you an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) looking for a stable, part-time role with a fixed schedule? Join our team performing Compensation and Pension (C&P) Examinations for Veterans and separating service members in Redding, CA.

This is a highly impactful charting and investigative position , offering a superb work-life balance— you will not be responsible for treatment or ongoing patient care.

What You Will Do (Focus on Assessment)

Your expertise will be crucial in documenting accurate claims:

• Comprehensive Assessment: Perform Disability Questionnaires (DBQs) and Separation Health Assessment (SHAs) through thorough physical examinations and in-depth health histories.
• Medical Opinion: Diagnose and provide objective medical opinions based on physical exams to support VA disability claims.
• Records Review: Conduct a complete review of medical records via a cloud-based Electronic Health Record (EHR).
• Efficient Documentation: Ensure charts are submitted through the online portal within a 24-hour window.

Exams are detailed and focused, ranging from 1.5–3 hours per Veteran, depending on the number of conditions claimed.

Qualifications & Schedule

• Licensure: Active NP or PA license in California.
• Certification: Certified by a national credentialing body (NP or PA).
• Schedule: Consistent Three Days Per Week (Days are fixed, M-F).
• Compliance: Willingness to work under physician supervision, following established protocols (required in this Restricted State).
