Maintenance Technician

Wilson, NC

Contract| Eligible to become FTE

Job Description: The Associate Maintenance Technician will support the startup and ongoing operations of our client’s manufacturing facility in Wilson, NC. This role is responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on production and facility equipment to ensure reliable and compliant operations in a cGMP-regulated environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED with technical training or certification in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance.
• Basic understanding of mechanical systems, electrical troubleshooting, and instrumentation.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
• Permanently authorized to work in the U.S., must not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or related field
• 1+ year of experience in a pharmaceutical, biotech, or regulated manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with CMMS systems (e.g., SAP, Maximo).
• Knowledge of cGMP, FDA, and EHS compliance requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and emergency maintenance on manufacturing, utility, and facility systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation issues to minimize equipment downtime.
• Execute preventive maintenance tasks in accordance with CMMS schedules and SOPs.
• Document all maintenance activities accurately and in compliance with cGMP and FDA regulations.
• Support equipment installation, startup, and commissioning activities.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to ensure equipment readiness.
• Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
