Job Description

Overview:

We are seeking a motivated Entry-Level Automation Engineer to join Fortune 500 banking client’s Banking, Invest, Lending, and Digital (BILD) Tech team. This role offers a unique opportunity to start with hands-on testing and grow into a position driving AI-powered testing initiatives. You will work on web and mobile applications (iOS and Android) and collaborate closely with functional engineers to define the future of testing within our organization.

Logistics:

  • Charlotte, NC (Hybrid 3 days onsite)
  • Full time (40 hours per week)
  • Start Date: February 2026
  • We are unable to provide sponsorship currently

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain automation test scripts using ViTest and other tools.
  • Collaborate with engineers to evangelize CI/CD pipelines and improve testing processes.
  • Challenge implementations and contribute ideas to enhance quality and efficiency.
  • Work toward implementing AI-driven software development solutions, including:
  • Using AI to update test scripts.
  • Identifying code changes (deltas) and guiding AI for correct implementation.
  • Building automated test suites with AI assistance.
  • Participate in defining the future of testing and AI integration across the SDLC.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree or Bootcamp in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Node.js and JavaScript proficiency.
  • Experience with Web Application development.
  • Exposure to AI technologies.
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum and SDLC processes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Python programming.
  • Troubleshooting and debugging skills.
  • Exposure to automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Pytest, JUnit) or willingness to learn.
  • Familiarity with Mobile development (iOS and Android).
  • Exposure to UI/UX Development.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
  • Additional automation testing experience.
