Position Overview

Title: Echo Ultrasound Tech - Pediatrics

Location: Flushing, NY 11355

Duration: 2 Months Contract With High Chances of Extension

Job Summary

• Prepares patient for examination, focusing on patient comfort and satisfaction, explains the procedure in easy-to-understand terms, performs ultrasound procedures, relieves patients of pre-testing anxiety, and directly observes and monitors the patient during the entire process.
• Sets up equipment to administer procedures in a timely fashion.
• Carefully reviews prior reports and images, and the patient's chart.
• Ensures that proper images have been obtained, studies are complete and thorough, appropriate techniques have been employed, reader is notified.
• Maintains control of inventory and purchases of supplies for the assigned area.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Must have a minimum of 1 year of Pediatrics experience.
• Experienced Sonographer to perform high-quality Pediatrics Echo studies as per ASE & IAC Guidelines in a premier cardiac center.
• Dedicated inpatient echo work experience is a must.
• Experience documented by institutional referral with a minimum of 200 inpatient cases in echocardiography.
• Proficiency in valvular assessment with strong spectral Doppler and Pedoff skills.
• Experience with contrast echocardiography and agitated saline studies.
• Ability to work independently, recognize abnormalities, and quickly respond to critical findings.
