We're Hiring – Field Engineer Roadways (Assistant Resident Engineer)

Location: Southern California – San Diego, Orange County, and Los Angeles

CPM Partners is seeking an experienced Assistant Resident Engineer to support public works and municipal infrastructure projects. You'll be responsible for coordinating and supporting with daily field inspections, preparing and maintaining project records, monitoring contractor progress, coordinating field materials sampling and testing, assisting with the review and processing of RFIs, Submittals, Change Order Requests, Utility Shutdown Requests, Lane Closure Requests, and other field requests, and ensuring that equipment, systems, or infrastructure are installed, maintained, and operate correctly in the field, often at client sites or on construction projects. You’ll act as a technical representative, troubleshooting problems, providing technical support, and ensuring adherence to engineering designs and safety standards.

Must-Haves:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management or related field
• 5-10 years full time professional experience in similar roles
• Licensure or Certification preferred: Licensed Engineer (preferably in California by Board of Engineers) and/or Certifications may include EIT, AAAE, LEED, PMP, etc., and/or any other relevant certification or license such as OSHA 10 or 30
• Valid California driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites
• Experience supporting federally funded or prevailing wage projects
• Strong communication skills
• Experience with project management software
• Works quickly, efficiently and confidently
• Exhibits high work standards, self-motivation, ethical work practices and collaborative spirit
• Proficiency in computer programs (MS Word, MS Excel, Bluebeam, Adobe, etc.)
