Architectural Designer (Washington, DC)

Cunningham | Quill Architects is an award-winning architectural practice based in Washington, DC and Charlotte, NC and is dedicated to the pursuit of design excellence. Our employees work closely with the Principals from concept to completion in an open studio format. We encourage personal and professional development at all levels, with on-going continuing education and professional participation in and out of the office.

We are looking for motivated entry-level candidates, with up to 3 years of experience, for the Architectural Designer role in our Washington, DC office. Designers will support single-family residential projects in addition to our diverse portfolio which includes multi-family residential, institutional, adaptive reuse and historic preservation, mixed-use commercial, master planning and urban design.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Architecture from NCARB-accredited program;
• Motivation to obtain Professional Registration and LEED certification;
• Self-starter with strong conceptual design skills and critical design thinking;
• Strong graphic presentation skills;
• Ability to learn building and zoning codes and other professional practice criteria through independent research and in close mentorship with senior level team members;
• Experience with: Revit, AutoCAD, Sketch-up, Adobe Suite
