Description We are looking for a skilled Tax Preparer to join our team in Greeley, Colorado. In this long-term contract position, you will play a vital role in ensuring clients meet their tax obligations accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of tax regulations and a commitment to delivering exceptional service. Responsibilities: - Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses with precision and adherence to deadlines. - Analyze and organize financial data to ensure compliance with applicable tax laws. - Review client financial records, including income statements and prior tax filings, to identify opportunities for deductions and credits. - Provide clients with strategic tax planning advice to minimize liabilities and maintain compliance. - Respond to tax notices and communicate effectively with tax authorities as required. - Keep up-to-date with changes in tax regulations and laws to ensure accurate reporting. - Safeguard the confidentiality of all client information and documentation. - Deliver outstanding customer service while managing multiple client accounts effectively. Requirements - Proficiency in tax preparation for individuals and businesses. - Strong knowledge of tax software, including QuickBooks and Ultra Tax - Experience with individual tax returns and basic bookkeeping. - Ability to analyze financial data and maintain compliance with tax codes. - Excellent organizational and time-management skills. - Strong communication skills to advise clients and correspond with tax authorities. - Commitment to maintaining high standards of confidentiality and professionalism.
