Description We are looking for a skilled Tax Preparer to join our team in Brooklyn, New York. In this role, you will work closely with clients to prepare and file individual tax returns while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. This position offers the opportunity to provide expert guidance and build lasting relationships with a well-established client base. Responsibilities: - Prepare and review individual tax returns, including all associated schedules such as A, B, C, and D. - Collaborate directly with clients to gather necessary information for accurate tax filings. - Ensure all tax filings comply with current IRS regulations and guidelines. - Provide thorough consultation to clients regarding their tax concerns and inquiries. - Address client questions and offer solutions related to their financial and tax situations. - Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and changes to ensure accurate filings. - Verify and organize documentation to support tax filings and prevent errors. - Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to foster trust and confidence in tax services. Requirements - Proven experience in tax preparation, particularly individual tax returns. - Strong understanding of IRS regulations and compliance standards. - Ability to prepare and file various tax schedules accurately and efficiently. - Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and addressing their concerns. - Detail-oriented approach to ensure precision in all tax-related tasks. - Proficiency in using tax preparation software and tools. - Certification as an IRS Enrolled Agent is preferred. - Ability to stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations.
