Job Description

Cross Country Education is hiring a compassionate 1:1 School Nurse (RN) to support a student (5th grade level) with complex medical needs. This full-time assignment requires providing nursing care in school, riding the bus with the student, and managing G-tube feeding and tracheostomy care during illness. The student is wheelchair-bound, very affectionate, and thrives on social interaction, requiring both medical and emotional support throughout the school day.

Position Details

• Location: New Hartford, NY
• Schedule: 6:50 AM – 3:00 PM, now through Summer 2026 (including 6 weeks of summer)
• Compensation: $43 per hour ( Contract )
• Role Type: Full-time, in-person

Qualifications

• Active New York RN license , maintained throughout appointment
• Prior experience in school or at-risk settings
• Demonstrated skill with G-tube feeding , trach suctioning, and complex medical care
• Strong interpersonal and documentation skills
• Must be comfortable riding the bus with the student each day
