Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager to oversee all site safety operations for a project in Birmingham, AL. This role requires a strong background in mechanical piping, welding, and equipment setting, along with the ability to lead safety initiatives in a fast‑paced industrial environment. The Safety Manager will be responsible for ensuring compliance, conducting field audits, and promoting a proactive safety culture throughout the duration of the project.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all on‑site safety activities for a large‑scale manufacturing construction project Conduct daily safety inspections, audits, and job hazard analyses
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and project‑specific safety requirements
• Oversee safety practices related to rigging, and equipment setting Facilitate safety orientations, toolbox talks, and ongoing training for all site personnel Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; implement corrective actions
• Maintain accurate safety documentation, reports, and logs Collaborate closely with project managers, foremen, and subcontractors to ensure safe work execution
• Serve as the on‑site safety resource and advisor throughout the project lifecycle
