Purchasing Manager (110–140K)

We have an exciting opportunity available for a Purchasing Manager at a growing manufacturing operation in the Syracuse, NY area.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead purchasing and material acquisition to support production schedules, including vendor sourcing, bidding, contract negotiation, and procurement execution.
• Manage vendor agreements, pricing terms, and supplier performance to drive cost savings and improve quality and reliability.
• Issue purchase orders and ensure alignment with project timelines and operational needs.
• Oversee and optimize raw material and supply inventory levels to maintain availability and minimize excess.
• Support capital equipment and project-based procurement efforts.
• Coordinate material logistics and shipping activities.
• Monitor purchasing KPIs and analyze material trends to recommend savings opportunities and process improvements.

Education and Experience :

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related.
• 7+ years in buying/procurement roles.
• 3+ years in a leadership capacity.
• Strong vendor negotiation, analytical, and ERP/Excel skills.
• Previous manufacturing purchasing experience preferred.
• Awareness of ITAR/EAR helpful but not required.
