Job Description

Role & Responsibilities:

  • The Purchasing Manager, is responsible for overseeing the purchasing/supplier management activities for capital and spares of all manufacturing operations. This includes the responsibility for all materials, critical spares, industrial machinery products, components, and equipment.
  • As a key leader of the business, the Purchasing Manager will be responsible for executing the business plans and the strategic plans by promoting teamwork, personal responsibility, and driving ingenuity and productivity. Strong focus on the supplier management, supplier relationship, supplier development, and drive for innovation are key fundamental values for the Purchasing Manager. The Purchasing Manager needs to have bias for action, entrepreneurial behavior, and be able to foster trust from all employees to be able to grow the business and achieve the next level of performance.

Qualifications, Skills, and Education Requirements :

  • 5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing operations position
  • Hands on style of working, managing the team and developing oneself to become a resident expert of company's manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills (in English)
  • Strong analytical skills combined with working knowledge of Microsoft software tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project) and NetSuite ERP (Proficient in SAP)
  • Track record of implementing and sustaining processes that result in exceptional quality products by process control and continuous improvement (i.e. Lean, 6 sigma, etc.) strong commitment to work place safety and providing leadership in safe practices to all team members.
  • An independent, highly motivated, mentally flexible, and resilient personality
  • Ability to demonstrate values of leadership, innovation, sense of urgency and customer commitment
  • Ability to analyze, results-oriented; practical judgment, disciplined problem solving
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing business objectives in a fast-paced, results oriented environment.

  • Team-player with leadership ability and a goal-oriented personality
  • Ability to communicate, and socially highly competent
  • Able to generate innovative “out-of-the-box” ideas and execute
