In the Ortho-Spine NP role you will: + Assume responsibility and accountability for rapid assessment, nursing diagnosis and works with MD partners to assure safe patient diagnostic testing and optimal plan of care. + Perform advanced practice procedures. + Utilize the nursing process to promote/restore optimal health and well-being of the patient. + Assume personal accountability for organizational mission and core values. + M-F 7:00am-4:00pm work schedule but may require schedule flexibility + Help build the Ortho-Spine Center of Excellence. **Job Requirements** In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following: + 1 year of experience in a clinical or advance practice setting, preferred + Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty + Master's Degree in Nursing as Nurse Practitioner, from a nationally accredited postgraduate certificate program required. Must be a graduate from an Accredited School of Nursing. + Graduate from an Accredited School Of Nursing required + Registered Nurse Practitioner Licensure for; and listed on the state Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) Registry required. Board certified as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, in applicable population foci and/or sub-specialty. + RN License required + BLS from the American Heart Association may be required depending on practice setting + ACLS from the American Heart Association may be required depending on practice setting + Have Prescriptive Authority (RXN) or have Provisional Prescriptive Authority (RXN-P), if applicable for role with associated articulated plan. Physical Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly) **Where You'll Work** Penrose-St. Francis Health Services is a full-service, 712-bed acute care provider in Colorado Springs comprised of Penrose Hospital, St. Francis Hospital and St Francis Hospital - Interquest. St. Francis Hospital opened in 2008 to keep pace with the growing needs of the Colorado Springs' community on the north side of the city. St. Francis Hospital features 340-beds and offers a modern Birth Center, Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Cancer Center, Emergency Department, Level III Trauma Center, Imaging Services, Acute Inpatient Rehab, Surgical Services and Critical Care Unit.
