Job Description
This role is responsible for scheduling fuel deliveries to a network of close to 3,000 stations, ensuring reliable and efficient distribution across a multi-state territory. The position requires strong coordination skills and collaboration across multiple areas of the supply chain, including station demand forecasting, volume allocation, terminal supply, and carrier management.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize inventory management and optimization tools to support efficient scheduling of more than 2.5 billion gallons of fuel annually.
- Coordinate delivery schedules for over 300,000 loads per year across 22 states , aligning station demand with available manpower and equipment from company and third-party carriers.
- Balance product volumes from a network of 230+ terminals and 75 suppliers to ensure timely replenishment and operational efficiency.
- Develop an understanding of economic and operational factors influencing delivery and supply chain decisions.
- Demonstrate a Guest In Mind approach in all customer interactions, providing exceptional service as part of the Central Scheduling team.
- Collaborate professionally with fleet supervisors, drivers, and carrier partners to ensure smooth delivery execution.
- Identify and assist in resolving loading or scheduling issues that impact delivery timelines.
- Communicate supply disruptions or delays promptly and effectively to customers.
- Recognize process inefficiencies within scheduling operations and contribute ideas for continuous improvement.
