Job Description

If you are an experienced Licensed Land Surveyor seeking a solid position with a growing mid-size engineering firm, our client is hiring! They have multiple openings in the Eastern, Midwestern and Southern USA for Managers, Project Managers, and Surveyors who can ascertain accurate locations and measurements of various areas for maps, utilities, subsurface utility engineering, titles, construction, or additional commercial uses. All positions require you to be state-licensed or registered as a Land Surveyor.

You’ll join with your fellow dynamic employees to provide excellent service to commercial clients. This is a full time staff position with a well-established company that provides an excellent benefits package and career development prospects.

What You’ll Do:

• Gather field data, perform survey calculations, and prepare legal descriptions.
• Manage operations of multiple field crews while providing quality control and quality assurance on all project work.
• Prepare and monitor project budgets and billing.
• Manage clients, mentor team members, and provide leadership and continuous process and service improvements.
• Contribute to expanding the business with new and existing clients.

What You’ll Bring:

• Experience preparing survey plans with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Microstation InRoads
• Ten (10) or more years of surveying experience.
• Active state registration / license as a Professional Land Surveyor.
• Knowledge of Federal, state and local surveying regulations.
• Experience with subsurface utility specifications and positioning is desirable.
• Knowledge of aerial mapping, LiDAR scanning and drone systems is desirable.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required; training in engineering or construction management or a degree plus relevant experience is desirable.
