We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Estimator to join our leadership track and spearhead our deliberate expansion into the Tuscaloosa/West Alabama market. This is a critical role designed for a professional with a proven record in heavy civil construction who is ready to drive significant corporate growth.

Key Strategic Contributions:

• Market Expansion Driver: Proactively build foundational relationships with local subcontractors, vendors, and clients, establishing a robust presence in the West Alabama region.
• Develop Competitive Cost Models: Lead the analysis of plans, specifications, and site logistics to produce detailed, complete, and highly competitive cost estimates for major site development and heavy civil projects.
• Subcontractor Vetting & Management: Identify, vet, and organize third-party quotes, ensuring all scopes are comprehensive, competitive, and align with project profitability goals.
• Process Refinement: Maintain and leverage historical data, cost databases, and standard operating procedures to ensure continuous improvement and accuracy (Target: <3% variance ).

Candidate Profile: 5+ Years of Proven Success

We are seeking a candidate with a minimum of five years of professional estimating or project experience within a high-volume general contractor or heavy civil environment.

Required Expertise:

• Technical Foundation: Deep knowledge of site development, earthwork, grading, utilities, topography, and rock excavation/blasting.
• Financial Acumen: Confidence in managing complex bids, budgets, and cost reviews, making data-driven decisions that secure margins.
• Relationship Builder: Proven ability to foster trusted, collaborative partnerships across all project stakeholders (subcontractors, engineers, agencies).
