Directional Drill Operator BOISE, ID ( -Construction Job Type Full-time Description TAK Broadband is a leading end-to-end U.S. fiber broadband network construction contractor operating in 42 states. We are seeking an entry-level **Directional Drill Operator** to join our team in **Boise, ID** . In this role you will assist our underground drill teams to complete assigned projects working around both standard and high-risk areas with live utilities. **Why TAK?** + Full Time + Paid Weekly + **Compensation: $8 - $11 per hour PLUS $3 per foot** + Full Benefits Package (Medical, Dental & Vision) + Paid Time Off + 401(k) with Company Match! + 25K Company Paid Life Insurance + Independent Work & Team Collaboration + Career Development & Advancement Opportunities! **The Role** + Assists drill operators and locators with equipment to complete assigned projects + Will work in and around both standard and high-risk areas with live utilities + Will learn about utility depths and placements + Ensures vehicles, equipment and tools are properly maintained, in good repair and secured in a safe manner + Reviews field designs and work with drill team to communicate discrepancies to supervisor for change orders + Properly documents all work completed to include pothole and bore logs + Will learn and assist with conduit splicing, vault/pedestal placement and fiber/coax placement as needed + Completes general restoration and cleanup + Completes all projects with safety as the #1 priority, ensuring compliance with internal safety standards and all governmental orders + Other duties as assigned Requirements + Underground telecommunications construction or installation experience preferred but not required + Ability to travel daily, out of state as needed, with company provided accommodations and per diems + Ability to work outside of business hours when needed, overtime, holidays, evenings, weekends etc., in all seasons + Excellent customer service, time management, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills + High level of energy, motivation and attention to detail + Ability to multi-task, shifting from one task to another without interruption + Ability to work with a noise level from moderate to loud + Ability to lift and carry up to 70lbs as needed + Ability to complete work outdoors, in tight spaces or elevated by bending, reaching, twisting, climbing in all weather conditions year round + Ability to safely work and navigate various terrains, managing equipment, safety equipment and tools + Must provide a valid government-issued photo ID for verification; a driver's license is required if the role involves driving + Class A CDL ideal but not required + Passing of all pre-employment requirements (MVR, Background Check, Drug Screen) _The compensation and benefits information is accurate as of the date of this posting.
