OVERVIEW:
The Custodial Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily custodial operations of R2W employees to ensure facilities meet or exceed cleanliness standards as specified in the contract. This role emphasizes proper cleaning and maintenance of all areas, with a strong focus on flooring care. The Custodial Supervisor must demonstrate effective leadership, accountability, and communication, while fostering a safe and professional work environment.
This position requires the ability to work independently, manage a team, and act as the primary liaison with FAA management as directed by the Project Manager/Operations Manager.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO):
• Supervise custodial employees performing daily custodial operations.
• Act as a designated point of contact for FAA management.
• Assist employees with custodial duties as a working supervisor.
• Revise and adjust employee work schedules in coordination with the Project Manager, ensuring compliance with budget requirements.
• Oversee and ensure the maintenance of all custodial conditions, including carpets, VCT, tile, concrete, and ceramic flooring.
• Train custodial employees and collect feedback on barriers to employment.
• Ensure timely completion and submission of reports, logs, and required documents.
• Maintain appropriate custodial and supervisory records.
• Encourage adherence to safety procedures, chemical handling, and MSDS requirements.
• Support accountability and continuous improvement in cleaning standards.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• 1–3 years of custodial and/or stocking-related supervisory experience.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and direct a team.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures, equipment, and chemical requirements.
• Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and chemical safety protocols.
• Ability to perform in a performance-based environment with professionalism.
• Must be organized, goal-oriented, and able to work well under pressure.
WORK SCHEDULE:
• Shifts may include evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays. Typical schedules may vary, for example:
o 5:30 AM – 3:00 PM
o 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
o 6:00 PM – 2:30 AM
o 8:30 PM – 5:00 AM

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
• Hourly Wage: $19.17 per hour
• Health & Welfare: $5.00 per hour contributed to ITPEU (union) for employee benefits, as well as $0.80 per hour for pension contribution
