Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated CNC Operator who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Batesburg, SC.

Must be a ble to work the second shift (4:00pm to 2:30am) - Monday through Thursday.

Accountabilities:

• Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials and drawings
• Set-up and operates conventional and CNC machine shop equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on assigned equipment.
• Inspect own work for accuracy, completeness, and compliance to requirements including HSE requirements, quality standards, and all work instructions.
• load tools, perform troubleshooting and perform quality checks before completing job
• Support other departments as directed including performing assembly work and painting as needed.

Required Skills and Knowledge:

• Experience as CNC/Machine Operator 2 years or more.
• Able to follow standard procedures.
• Proficient at reading blue prints, drawings and work instructions
• Strong communication skills
• Able to work the second shift - 4:00 pm to 2:30 am Monday through Thursday.

Preferred Skills

• CNC programming experience
• computer skills as well as Microsoft Office

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent

Language:

English Proficiency
